Tips for travelling around Alicante

Alicante and its region is a major tourist attraction in southeast Spain and the tourist traffic is increasing day by day. However, there is no need to worry, the city of Alicante offers a variety of transport options to suit your needs.

Alicante train station

The main train station is located right in the centre of the city. It offers connections between Alicante and all major cities in Spain, e.g. Madrid, Valencia, Seville, Barcelona. The average travel time between Alicnte and Madrid is 3,5 hours. All trains are air-conditioned and very comfortable.

Alicante Narrow Gauge Railway Station

The other railway station is located close to the harbour and offers more local connections, e.g. Benidorm, Denia, Altea. All these cities can be reached very easily.

Alicante bus station

Another way how to get around is by public bus service. Alicante bus station is located at Calle Portugal, close to the harbor. A variety of bus operators offers conections all over Spain.

Car rentals

One of the best ways to go sight seeing is by a car. There is plenty of car rentals around, and the car can be easily booked together with the flight before arrival.
